About Woodshore

Woodshore is a 205-acre mixed-use development in Clute, adjacent to Lake Jackson. It is located at the intersection of Oyster Creek Drive and Dixie Drive, less than two miles east of SH288, which provides easy access to the Gulf Coast, the area’s petrochemical employment complex, and to Houston.  The property has an abundance of natural characteristics including lakes, mature trees, and gently rolling terrain.  It had been held by a single family for over 130 years prior to being purchased by DHK Clute, LLC in 2012.

Approximately 350 residential lots will be developed on a carefully crafted master plan incorporating abundant open spaces, lakes, recreation amenities, trails, and tree preservation areas. The lots are being developed in several phases. Adjacent to the neighborhood is Woodshore Marketplace with its Kroger Marketplace and ancillary retail establishments.

Woodshore has strong deed restrictions and architectural guidelines, a vigorous mature tree protection program, and a street tree planting requirement. These elements not only help protect home values but help enhance them.

DHK Development, Inc. (Developer)

DHK Development, Inc., based in Houston, Texas, was founded by Douglas H. Konopka in 1991. The company develops both residential and mixed-use communities, as well as commercial projects. It also provides real estate consulting services to third-party property owners.

DHK believes it is vital to incorporate a property’s natural characteristics into the development plan. Mature trees are protected, creeks and lakes are reserved as open space, and changing topography is accentuated. By employing the best consultants, selecting high-quality builders, and creating strong architectural guidelines and deed restrictions, home values are not only protected but typically enhanced.
