It is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Oyster Creek Drive and Dixie Drive, less than two miles east of SH288 which provides easy access to the Gulf Coast, the area’s petrochemical complex, and to Houston. The property has an abundance of natural characteristics including lakes, a mature forest and a gently rolling terrain and had been held by a single family for over 130 years prior to be purchased by DHK Clute LLC in 2012.
“I have had the privilege of working with Doug Konopka for many years and can say that he cares deeply about the communities he develops, seeking innovative ways to maintain — and enhance — the natural setting that is there from the beginning. He is always true to his word, too, which is a rare quality these days.”

“As Economic Development Director of the fastest growing community in Fort Bend County, I have worked with Doug Konopka (of DHK Development, Inc.) for eight years. Doug maintains the highest standards in development, but more importantly he honors the environment, the history, and the citizens of the community. He is a man of integrity and by far one of the best developers I have had the pleasure to work with. Any city would be lucky to have Doug choose them to create his unique vision.”
– Cheryl Stalinsky | Economic Development Director, Fulshear, Tx
Woodshore has strong deed restrictions and architectural guidelines, a vigorous mature tree protection program, and a street tree planting requirement. These elements not only help protect home values, but help enhance them.

“As a homeowner in a community developed by DHK Development, I have experienced firsthand how a well-planned community improves my family’s lifestyle. Doug Konopka is known for giving thoughtful consideration to maximizing open space, and preserving natural areas and vegetation while providing attractive and convenient amenities.”
– Mike Hopfe | Fulshear, TX resident
Doug Konopka believes it is vital to incorporate a property’s natural characteristics into the development plan. Mature trees are protected, creeks and lakes are reserved as open space, and changing topography is accentuated. By employing the best consultants, selecting high quality builders, and creating strong architectural guidelines and deed restrictions, home values are not only protected but typically enhanced.
